Additionally, poetry will be posted beginning in September for any student who wishes to submit his or her work. Remember, you are all writers, with unique perspectives, and I look forward to hearing from each of you!

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians: Please note that homework assignments posted on the Blog may change. When this happens, changes are documented and discussed with the students that day, and recorded on the homework whiteboard or blackboard in the classroom. Students are give the time to update the homework during that class. I will update the blog as soon as possible.
Hi, I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful Labor Day weekend. We had a terrific first week of school!
More news for the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students and parents.
Students in my reading, and language arts classess will be required to read two novels outside of school, for our Reader's Bookshelf, each marking period. One of the novels must a a nonfiction novel. It is important that students acquire a love of reading since reading different authors' styles and different genres help students become better writers and readers across the curriculum. Students will post their novels on our bookshelf, and will share the books they've read with their classmates. At the end of each marking period, they will receive a grade for completing this assignment. Happy Reading.
